.5ft diameter,50 ft high. I quoted about 12 local companies, the prices vary
from $1200 to $4500 (scary, ha~). Finally I picked the two lowest-price
contractors, and got price down to $1100, this including grinding stump.
BTW, for such a big tree, you need to find a contractor with license and
insurance, not any guys from the street.
Oh, I'm in north nj too. :-) so here's the contractor I used: Century Tree &
