builder不管landscape，我们这11月十有八九第一场雪就下来了，就是说今年种草是没
指望了，裸露的topsoil需要特别护理过冬吗？还是就无所谓等明年开春种草？

And your town allow your builder keeping topsoil exposed? Yikes! |

by the time of our closing date, it is definately too late for landscaping.
This is new building, so it is an exception for exposing topsoil, also our
drive way can be delayed for up to one year to finish. i am just wondering
should I cover something on top of the exposed topsoil just to protect it
through the winter?

it might be too late to do seeding now...

Then if your town don't care, why should you bother? Anyway, you need to add
another layer of fertilized loam before seeding next spring.

不同的是我是builder管种草，如果需要盖东西builder会来盖上的，现在看没有动静

sure you be all set by Thanksgiving.
