Many of the condos and townhomes built in last 10 years around my area got
some construction defects.
Regarding the litigition, some HOAs are able to get enough money from
builder and their insurance money to cover the expense of repair. However,
that is not every single case. THe worse case I heard is each unit has to
pay 25k for special assessment fees to cover the gap.
Better talk to the HOA board member for their case.

How can I get the information on whether or not there is any pending special
assement?

发帖数: 72 | 8 HOA certainly have no obligation to release any information to you since you
are not a resident, although you can try it.
However, you can always ask for the authrization from seller.
