第一， 选购opener。根据自家车库门的大小选择opener，通常1/2 horsepower的
opener足够家庭车库。我选Chamberlain的，适于DIY，各店都有卖。比较价格后，
Lowes有特价便宜$30，加上10%的哭胖（邮局要来的change address package内有），
一共省了$50。Lowes 和homedepot都管安装，要$97，但要$35先inspect，还不管电路
，如果自己加电路，必须符合他们的code。俺自个喜欢鼓捣这些，就决定自己干了。
第二， 要做计划。根据车库现状找到安装opener两端的位置，motor要挂在梁上，
车门一端要安到车门上方15cm以上。俺家门上方是空心砖（见图１），直接安装不牢固
，要加块2x6（图５）。另外需要角钢固定motor（图４），以及各种工具（图３）。这
么多工具，每个都有大用处。
第三， 装电路。电路和电源须自备，电源必须距离motor不超过3ft。不多废话了，
见图6, 7, 8。
第四， 装2x6，图9。
第五， 照着手册装opener，moto |

You need a cut off saw (only take a few second to cut)
上上下下爬梯子浪费不少时间。
I usually build a wooden platform and walk up ramp first with some 2x4 and
plywood, maybe 20 min with if you have nailer. Much safer to walk around.
and you can take it apart use it next time.

wood.
你的平台一般有多大？我要在车库内来回走，这个平台要很大吧？大的平台要保证稳固
，要很好的结构设计吧？我没干过，您有图纸可以share吗？

No. They look similar, but not the same.
Cutoff saw or metal chop saw, is a power tool which is typically used to cut
hard materials, such as metals. The cutting action is performed by an
abrasive disc, similar to a thin grinding wheel. The saw generally has a

，１０小时。请专业工人应该不超过$300，包括电路部分。

to? By looking at the picture, seems your mount the bracket on to the door
directly. Over the time, the screws may come loose if the door is steel.

DIY不光是为了省钱，主要是方便。这次虽然干了10小时，实际是学习了10小时。下次
干别的，会有更好的sense.

reinforce when the screws is getting loose?
