油价又高。我们暖气是分三个zone的，有人的地方设65，不用的时候设55，所以还算用
的节约，即便这样每个月加油的账单都超过500。

Converting to gas also helps a lot.

没人的时候设63,4度,有人了67,8,9.
感觉开壁炉的话暖和的很快啊. |

It's not just Laohan is trying to save on heating bills, you must also
realize if the room temperature and humidity is too high, it's also a stress
test on your house. Even it tests good, why should you put it on test in
the first place?

寓包暖冬天设80度，夏天72左右。
现在自己花钱冬天65，夏天76，冬天觉得65很冷需要单独房间加电暖气。夏天76还不错。

In the bigger picture, it's all about lobby and PR. So, let's talk about
heating costs only.
Yes, by BTU, natural gas costs about the half of the heating oil. But you
have to take the initial costs into consideration, also. Especially, most
gas heaters have only 20 years of expected useful life, while oil ones can
last 30 years (status quo). On top of that, due to the pressure from global
warming and stuff, the related technologies are making great progress every
year and so do the manufacturers. You might get a better furnace/heater,
which costs less initially and over the long run.
To sum up,
1. You probably would convert to gas eventually. Most likely, you would have
to.
2. But you don't need to rush it. At least don't do so while your current
oil furnace/heater is still working fine.
3. Consider a tankless or a condensing water heater when you finally upgrade
the heating.

的，旁边有一个大罐子好像是water heater或者起码是存热水的罐子。前些日子工人来
做furnace年检时还说有这个罐子很好，如果没有更要费油。 |
