至少 term 比 whole life insurance 便宜蛮多的，因为 whole life insurance 保险
claim 的可能性趋向于1。

Wholelife is an example--it's a hybrid product. over a "very long" period
of time, money you put in for "investment" part will return enough to cover
the "insurance premium" part. that may sound good but if look at the cost
of ins closely, you'll find it's much higher than cost of ins on a Term
policy.
many times, a Term policy is well-served for ave ppl. it could be as long
as 20-30 yrs. the money you put into Wholelife, part goes to mutual fund to
generate the "expected returns" to subsidize your ins premium. i suppose
you can do the same on your own.
Wholelife has its intended purposes but many times, the benefits have been
exaggerated on ave ppl.

听起来似乎是不建议买。 agent说的guarantee cash value情况下并不需要去管cost
of insurance， 并且这些钱以后都是免税的。难道她是在lie？

除非你是有钱人啦，可以用 Universal life insurance来让你的子孙用这个life
insurance来交遗产税。
不然呢，一般你我这样的普通筒子们，可以考虑买一个10－30年的term life
insurance.相比较 Universal Life Insurance而省下来的钱 (premium)，可以考虑用来买Roth IRA给自己和配偶。
仅仅是个人看法啦。

diff ins products are designed for diff purposes. for average ppl in "
general" if you're just looking for protection to hedge against lost of
income (thus can't make house payment for example) during "peak" earning
power (e.g. age 30-55), a Term policy would probably be sufficient. again,
diff situation may consider differently.
