and they said it should my neighbor's responsibility.
My neighbor said that he hopes we can share the cost with him (about $150
each), but we are a little bit concerned about legal complications.
Do you think it would be a good idea to help my 邻居, just because of 邻居关
系 and we do not need to worry about any legal complications? |

发帖数: 134 | 3 He said neighbors always help each other. We do not think he is a nice guy,
but we do not want to make him unhappy.
Both our insurance company and our realtor (we recently bought our house)
said it is not our responsibility.
Can you guys tell us the potential problems of 'sharing the cost with him'?

not your responsibility.
You cannot pay him because he said neighbors help each other. You are not a
charity organization. Especially considering he is not a nice guy. |

responsibility就不要pay，怕involve进去，你问下律师吧。

发帖数: 16937 | 6 对对对，还有潜在的法律纠纷呢。你如果付了钱，算是证据说你承认这个树倒掉的原因
跟你有或多或少的联系，法庭上不讲感情只看证据是否凿实。尤其你觉得你邻居不是一
盒甜心小饼干。个人观点，在美国，话可以乱说，钱绝对不能乱付。
