The new house is still under construction. In the seller's offer letter,
they said the earnest money was not refundable (~5000). In our counter
letter, we request that it should be refundable subject to financing and
inspection but the seller did not agree with us. Our buyer agent also told
us for a new house this is normal.
I don't know this is true or not. Now we are trying to ask a lower value for
example 2000 dollars for the earnest money although it is non-refundable.
Is there any better idea? We need to give another counter offer this
afternoon. Thanks!! |

是refundable如果是因为appraisal或者是loan过不了,inspection contigency也可以
把earnest money拿回来的。就我所知,如果是买家家里出了事情影响到downpay, 比较
nice的builder也会退钱,。 |
