The insulation was installed as required by code section 101.4.3 to an R-34
open cell (which is a full cavity in a 2X8)
The enclosed envelope is a very common practice in the building industry
which had been around for over 4 years. It is most commonly referred to as a
hot roof. The best example of a hot roof is a typical box retailer like
lowe’s. These buildings have 6-8” of foam on the flat roof deck.

我们在网上做了些research,也没找到太多异议，普遍看到反映比较节能。将问题继续
丢给inspector，希望他能确定一下。结果，他还是坚持自己的意见。这边这方面的专
业人才比较多，想听听大家的意见。
