是不是可以在草坪里面泛泛的播撒 weed killer就可以自动把它们清除，同时不会伤到
草坪？
还是需要用weed killer分别定点清除 （对着喷射）？

发帖数: 837 | 5 Indeed, pulling is the best if you can manage it and are willing to commit
the time.
Other than that, there are chemical solutions that kill weeds but not
grasses. For example, 2,4-D can be used for dandelions and plantains;
adding Dicamba and MCPP kills a wider range of broadleaf weeds; and
Triclopyr can be used for a few tougher ones. (Note what I mentioned here
are active ingredients, not brand/product names.) For these types of
chemicals, just spray the area where you want to control weeds.
However, you need to know your grass types and weed names first, so that you
can go buy products that indeed kill your weeds and won’t hurt your
grasses. As usual, always read and follow the labels carefully. | l*********u

发帖数: 837 | 8 First of all, the best defenses against weeds are a healthy and thick lawn,
mowing high, and watering as infrequently as grass allows and as deeply as
soil allows.
Personally, I think weed & feed products for post-emergent weed control is a
great marketing gimmick for the unassuming consumers. It is banned in
Canada for a reason. Why? Broadleaf herbicides are best when applied to
the leaves, so imagine how effective could a granular form be. It could
still be effective, but compared to liquid spray, imagine how much more the
granular form is needed to have similar effects. In addition, weeds can be
spot treated by the liquid spray form, but weed & feed products are supposed
to be applied to the whole lawn, even to areas without weeds.
Besides, broadleaf weeds are best killed when they are growing. Weed & feed
products will try to kill first (the weed part will be ineffective in days)
, and then feed in weeks (the feed part won't get weeds growing in days),
while a better approach should feed first, and then kill after a week or two.
I am not even getting to the environmental and cost issues yet ...
[Note the above comments are not aiming for specific people, just my take on
the week & feed products themselves. Also note that's for post-emergent
products only. For pre-emergent products, weed & feed might be reasonable,
although I'd still be using separate feed (i.e. fertilizers) and pre-
emergent products.]
