management program， 他们会给我们每年36刀的电费billing statement credit for
each of our HVAC units 。心想 我们上下两层两个中央空调，那么每年有72刀不是挺
好的，但又怕这个会对我们的AC不好，犹豫着要不要参与。
关于这个load program，不知道版上的xdjm有没有听说过。
一旦我们打电话告诉电力公司客服说我们参与他们的load program，他们会派个技术人
员安装 a load management switch to aid in reducing peak demand. The switch
connects to air conditioner or heat pump unit outside our home. It is
installed and maintained free of charge by them. 也即是说这样可以帮助他们
keep electricity costs down.所以他们才会给我们账单statement credit。
以下是电力公司网站上写的details( how does the Switch work):
The load management switch is radio controlled. On days when electricity
demand is at its highest, we transmits a radio signal from our office
to briefly turn off your outside air conditioning (AC) unit.
The switch tells your AC unit that the inside temperature
has been reached at your thermostat and to shut down. The switch operates
for approximately 7 minutes, after which
time your AC can come back on if your thermostat still calls for it. While
the AC is off, your inside fan continues to run
circulating the air inside your house. You probably will not even notice
when we runs load management. This program has typically been limited to 10-
15 days per year.
我的问题是这样的话会不会对AC很不好，因为根据上面的描述似乎这个switch会控制AC
一会off一会on。但他们的网站以及flyer（FAQ)上明确说不会。
还有一个问题就是at peak time这个switch 通过ratio控制我们的AC , 假设说我整个
summer都不开AC的话（就是说一直keep AC turned off)，那么这个switch是不是对我
们一点影响都没有，还是说照样会control我们家的AC。 | u****q
