court appeal。老婆去县里打听，人家说被拒的原因是家里的车没在本县注册。早知道
就改下注册地址好了。请教有经验的同学，这种情况appeal还有机会吗？省的税钱能比
220刀多吗？

发帖数: 13701 | 3 No experience but your case sounds really weird. Below is just my personal
opinion and may not apply to your state/county.
My understanding is that homestead is a tax relief for home owners on their
primary residency (your own house and you must live here), there is a tax
cap so that the government CANNOT increase the property tax as much as that
of other houses, ie., rental properties. This is all about the house and
should have nothing to do with cars. I think you had better fight for it,
because depends on where you are, the difference of property tax per year
may be much more than this one-time $220 fee - and you probably can get it
back if you win.
Also please do some research on your state/county's homestead tax, because
different places may have very different rules. Good luck!

发帖数: 1985 | 5 I think the reason OP got rejected due to the car registration is that the
car is registered at a different address and that address is considered the
primary house for the OP from the county stand point, thus the house in the
topic is not qualified to have homestead exemption. |

Residency，就可以和衙门死磕。不过你要是不在那儿住着，或者你还有别的房子作为
你的 Primary 的话，那当然没戏了。不过这玩意儿在俺们这旮瘩是州政府的干活，不
是县衙的。说说你到底啥情况？ |

照，甚至把驾照地址也更新了之后才申请的。
