绿光消失。 所以我想这个 sensor 应该没有问题？

发帖数: 10288 | 3 你这个门能走，不是 sensor 的问题，可能是马达不够劲或者阻力太大
可能解决办法：可以用一个或者 both
在轨道合适地方，门轴等处喷点 garage door grease，减少阻力
架个梯子，看看开门器，拿螺丝刀把开门器力量调大一些。

发帖数: 10288 | 7 上梯子，带上螺丝刀，看看开门器，调整行程，调整到正好关好为止。
你的车库门问题是行程设置过长，导致走到底后，开门器认为还没
有到底，继续往前走，但是遇到地面阻力太大，然后系统认为有东
西阻拦，自动退回。

最简单的尝试，没准就好了。

能门滑下去砸地面会损害吗？
应该不是弹簧断了吧？ 因为这么前天这种症状，多按几次，后来又有一次 work 了。

However, to diagnose the problem, you should rule that possibility out first
.
But it is very difficult to hold the door weight depending on the size/
material of your door. So you can increase the push force on motor to force
the door close and then test it.
If the spring is good, you should be able to lift the door up or push it
down with minimal force. And the door should stay where it is when you
release the latch.
Spring counterbalances the weight of door. If it's broken, the motor has to
work a lot harder to open/close door, which will cause damage to motor. I
learned it hard way. Had to repair a broken motor first and later realized
the spring needed replacement. :(
If the spring is good, you probably just need lubricate the rollers and
increase the force on the motor a tiny bit.

Is there any other way to test the Spring?
I feel it is not the spring since the door successfully closed once after
the problem appeared. I also remember there was a similar case last year
when it was really cold in Winter. We did not do anything last year since it
only occurred one day. It worked without any problem for the last 10 months.
On the other hand, I do think we should do something for the door since it
was already 17-18 years old. 貌似所有的零件都是原来的。 车库门，以及这些部件
的平均寿命是多少？ 这些弹簧，之类的零件是不是也差不多寿命快到了？

发帖数: 37 | 20 My house was built in 2003. The motor broke this summer and I got it fixed.
Few weeks later the door's having problem again (can only open half way), I
adjust the pull force to open it, but then decided to do some research and
figure out broken spring is behind the trouble.
If you have a single door or your door is relatively light weighted, even if
the spring is broken, the motor can still open/close but that's not good
for the motor.
Check the tracks to make sure they look normal. Then lubricate your roller
with some silicon lubricant. I heard people talking not to use WD40 but
haven't found time to check. Get a ladder to check your motor, you should be
able to find 4 knobs to adjust the forces and positions. Slightly increase
the force for closing door and hopefully your door will be closed at some
point. Then just test the spring, it's super easy to do. If the spring is
broken, your motor will develop problems and you won't be able to open the
door during power outage when you need get the car out. That's the whole
point.

opener有一个小的指示器，会表明是什么错误code。
后来，查明是opener的travel module坏了。然后换了一个travel module就好了。
我觉得，天气的变化对某些opener影响很大。 |

阻力。 经查发现是隔热密封塑料互相干扰。这个黑色的密封塑料是被人忽悠装上的。
湿度高温度低的情况下，塑料硬度增加，特别是刚接触时阻力很大。 尼玛推荐我们装
这个隔热密封塑料的看起来要么就是个二把刀，要么就是别用用心啊。这么搞天气变冷
肯定会出现问题的啊。
不过这个opener 十七八年，也差不多该换了

另外这种密封条是个门都有吧？至少我家俩们也有。否则冬天关上门漏风啊 |

面的隔热材料杠上的地方。如果都松软， 门就可以擦着白色塑料密封条下来。 但是如
果杠上了，就相当于门是架在那个白色的密封条上, 阻力不小。如果把那个白色塑料密
封条稍微掰一下，阻力就没有了。

It's better to have some sort of weather seal for bottom of door. In your
case, you probably should have a threshold installed on the ground in stead
of nailed to the bottom without adjusting/checking interference with the
frame weather seal.
I'd get a couple of professions to come and check the situation. You may
need new weather seal for the frame.
If you want to change the door/track/roller etc, when I did mine, for a
single car garage door with all the hardware (not including spring/opener)
ranges from 500 to 800.
