Location: Mission Viejo, CA
Basic Function and Scope of Position
This position is an excellent opportunity to work on cutting edge
computer security products at McAfee, the world's largest dedicated
security technology company. We are looking for a talented software
developer who can help design and develop some of McAfee's newest
technologies. This position will also help troubleshoot and debug
existing software applications that help secure systems and networks
around the world. This role will also include development of testing
procedures as well as functional and technical documentation for new and
existing applications.
Main Responsibilities/Functions
The candidate's role will be development of a distributed enterprise
vulnerability and risk management system on Windows platforms using C++.
Other important programming languages and technologies include Microsoft
SQL Server, C#, Java and PHP.
Experience
2+ years experience successfully developing software solutions using C++
and Relational Databases; Microsoft SQL Server development is preferred.
Solid understanding of Data Structures, Algorithms, Multi-threading,
Network programming
Strong Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) and Object-Oriented Design
skills
Proficiency with network communication technologies (Sockets, TCP/IP,
HTTP)
Experience with agile development methodologies
Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills
Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related field
Experience in computer security and internationalization are a plus
