From southern California to north CA, which part is worth visiting? CA-101
or 1? When coming back, do I have to drive the same way or there's

Can you be more specific which part is worth? Big Sur, 17-miles, etc?
Also, the come-back route is the same, or I can make a circle to see more
stuff?

When I looked at the map, you were talking about Reno/Tahoe area, right?
