I met this girl (26 yr old, 175 cm) in a dating event. We both liked each
other. She came to the US 2 yrs ago, whereas I have been in the US for over 10 yrs. I
had a crush on her instantly. We met 3 times over the recent 3 weekends,
because we both had to work.
On our first date, it was a lunch date. After we departed, I texted that I told
that I liked her. She did not respond. But I kept texting her every day to
check in on her. She responded to text I sent her but usually with 3-12 hour
delay.
The following Saturday, I called and asked her out again. She agreed. I
drive my car (luxury brand) to pick her up. She seemed happy. We walked in
the park and I asked whether she got my message that "I liked her". She told
me she wanted to take the relationship slow and started being friends. She
had 2 previous relationship. (One lasted 4 years, but they broke up because
of the long distance). We had dinner and shared a desert (the most romantic
thing) at night. But, when I dropped her off at her home, I went for a hug,
but she kept walking away and waving at me.
The next day, I invited her to see a baseball game, and she agreed. During
that week, I kept thinking about her every day. When Friday came along, I
asked about her plan for that night. She told me she was going to karaoke
bar with her Chinese friends. So, I went and joined her. But she kept
talking with her friend and never introduced me to anyone. I was like
sitting alone looking at screen, and occasionally speak with some male
friends. I basically didn't speak a single word to her during the 2 hour
karaoke session. After that, I drove her home along with her friend, both
sitting in the backseat. After dropped off her friend, I asked her to join
me in the front seat, but she declined. So, I had to drive her home while
she was sitting in the backseat. Her excuse was that she had to take trip out of
state the next day, so she had to go.
I texted her over the weekend but she didn't respond the text till the next
day.
Based on this very awkward experience, is there any way to test and found
out if she liked me? I don't waste my time to take her to baseball game if
it turns out she doesn't like me.
Facts:
1. Never had any physical contact
2. Never received her text. I am the one who always texted her.
3. Why the heck she didn't introduce me to anyone at the karaoke session?
