Job Description
· Competent in classical methods of structural analysis (as background for
using computer routines).
· Carry out finite element analysis (FEA) of machine components, sub-
assemblies and related support structures to determine stress, strain and,
where necessary, natural frequencies, undamped and damped.
· Assess FEA results against customer specifications and Flowserve design
standards for fatigue life and dynamic stability.
· Compile design reports.
· Participate in design reviews.
· Produce required work to support project schedules.
Qualifications
· BSME, MSME desirable, PE, state of CA, desirable.
· Minimum of 3 years of analysis and engineering experience.
· Analysis experience with rotating and/or pressure equipment desirable.
· Working knowledge of ASME Section VIII, Divisions 1, 2 and 3.
· Strong oral and written communication and organizational skills.
· Skill in use of AutoDesk Inventor or similar design programs.
· Skill in use of ANSYS, Version 13, (preferred) or other FEA code. | q*******7
