网上说ECFMG认证完后有五年有效期，在这五年是不是随时都可以报名，5年内完成STEP
1,2&3 就行了，而并不是一定要有时间的限制？ 如果是这样可不可以先提前认证，然

发帖数: 1334 | 2 I didn't go though ECFMG process but I think this should be fine. Once you
decide for the board plan finishing all USMLE steps within two years.
It's a bad idea to take so long:
1) You’re getting older. In general many programs prefer younger people;
2) The medical school graduation-year cutoff by many programs will reduce
your chance;
3) About 500 more AMGs come out from US medical schools each year. Comparing
the data from 2007 to 2009, we see clearly the trend of competition

Another question: when we do notary public for form 186, it means we do
notary here and then send it back to China to get signature OR we get notary
from China after Dean's signature?
