发帖数: 371 | 1 现在居住在遥远的西海岸，program很少，据说大部分CMGs都match到东海岸，现在我正
犹豫要不要move到NY周围去。除了面试时位置近较方便外，信息可能也比较多，另外有
人说有的program更愿意召来自本地区的人。当然缺点是：换实验室可能要适应磨合一
段时间，可能会比较紧张。而且马上就申请出去面试，不能安心工作，挺伤人品的，很
可能会让新老板不高兴。目前NY一个实验室要我过去，正犹豫不决中。如果今年没戏需
要努力第二年的话，我会毫不犹豫地搬过去。 | V*****G
发帖数: 337 | 2 New York is very expensive and crowded. If u have a family, this may not be
a good place unless u can make $20k at least, or everyone in the family is
ready to downgrade quality of life. If u are single , it doesn't matter .
One bedroom, $1200, 2 bedroom $1700/month, 3 bedroom $ 2200/month, there is
no place to park in the city here. People are not as nice as those in the
middle and in the south. Traffic is horrible. But there is one good thing,
education for children is good , as teacher make good money here.
When I got here, I don't know how can people here afford living.....

比方说参加9月份的会就不用犹豫。
