表示想要我去。这个program是参加match的。我想问一下，现在有没有可能和第一个签
了合同的program毁约？如果毁约会有什么后果？当时签的合同上没有写如果毁约会怎
么样。真心寻求建议。 |

发帖数: 90 | 3 你说的很冒险是说第一个prematch program会告我毁约，还是说毁约后第二个program
也没有match上，丢两头？第二个比第一个好太多，否则我也不会想着换。

不知道你申请的什么专业，内科我觉得哪个program出来，找工作开业区别不大，可能在
program的时候工作Load有不同吧 |

the fight and your career is in danger. And think about that, if everyone
does this, it would be a mess for those programs. They must have a way to
protect themselves, and i don't feel you have the resources. The only
possible way is you talk with the program frankly and may find a replacement
whom the program would accept. If you are in IM, it could be ok, but if you
are in pathology, you may get trouble later on and pay it back. You signed
the contract for a reason, think it back. Plus, you may match into a worse
program in March. |

过一番思索以后肯定会同意放行，但同时PD 会通知所有PROGRAMS 关于你诚信不佳，这
就是所谓的 red flag;然后答应MATCH 你的PROGRAM 根本不会 RANK 你，最后你就是竹
篮打水一场空，什么也没得到。我想说对于我们申请者来说，我们肯定是利益受限者，
曾听说过一个美国特出色的一个双学位学生 MATCH 到一个超好的ADVANCED Specialty,
但第一年在另外一个医院做PRELIM year的时候与PROGRAM 闹了一点小矛盾导致第一年
没毕业，然后哪也去不了了。医院人际关系错综复杂，你想玩游戏，他们会奉陪到底的
，不要被他们捉着把柄，会把你整得很惨的。 |

发帖数: 76 | 14 They definitely can sue you. Although they do not list consequences of
breaching a contract, a breach of contract provides a wonderful opportunity
for lawsuit no matter if they did or didn't write that on the contract and
they will defintely sue you for all collaterals (i.e. financial damage you
caused for their shortening of staff). And we're at a disadvantage when it
comes to court because it's our second language and we're Asian we won't be
able to fight them.
That being said, there's a chance they might let you go without filing a
lawsuit, but you'll need to consider the possibility of the PD sending an
email to NRMP notifying them you breached contract, then they'll withdraw
you from the Match.
Bottom line is, in the US, especially in the medical arena, they value
integrity much much more than we do in Asia. So if you breach a contract,
that'd be considered unethical and would risk putting a red flag on your
file for the rest of your life. |

should let them know you've already signed a contract and ask them not to
rank you. By doing this you'll give the consideration to other applicants,
and
this nice gesture of yours might save someone else's day by them being able
to match to a program. God will reward you for your good deeds. |

I signed a contract outside the Main Residency Match®. What should I do?
If you already have registered with the NRMP, you MUST withdraw from the
Main Residency Match by the Rank Order List Deadline. You can withdraw by
logging in to the Registration, Ranking, and Results® (R3®) system
and selecting the withdraw option. Failure to withdraw by the Rank Order
List Deadline is a violation of the Match Participation Agreement signed at
registration.

发帖数: 23 | 17 既然签了合同就有法律效力， 我认识一人就是签了permatch合同又match, 最后match
到的医院被告知，取消了match offer,最后没地方去，还被ECFMG警告，上了黑名单，
又试了两年连面试都没有，今年干脆放弃了，很可惜，因为他package很不错。

发帖数: 660 | 19 我所知道的是，除了丢掉当年的机会，还会被NRMP禁止3年内参加match。加起来，就是
4年内做不了住院医。

发帖数: 86 | 20 PDs know each other more than you think, they form a large network …. and
medicine is a small world. I doubt they will trouble themselves to sue you.
But once you have such a reputation, you may pay heavy price later on. How a
potential employee would take this story when they consider offering you a
job?
Much better to transfer after the 1st if you indeed don't want to stay in
the prematch program…. |
