Q: Is it legal to remotely consulting patients in China?
A: Yes. Remote consulting is a service to provide patients remotely with
medical information, not treatment. It's legal for a licensed U.S
physician to conduct the consulting in US, no matter which country the
patient is. As a matter of fact, numerous top U.S hospitals (John
Hopkins, Mayo clinic, Cleveland clinic, Partners, etc.) have been
providing this remote consulting service to international patients for
almost 10 years. | s******8

volunteer consultant).
But majority of the CMG specialists won't have free time for this kind of

involved.
As for your second concern: "Any bypass or shortcut could save some money
upfront but may also earn you a backlash later", I want to ensure you that
there is no bypass here. Telephone consultation is just the first step, we have
follow-up services such as "second opinion"(needs to collect very detailed
medical information, includes image, history, lab,pathology,etc) and come-to
US for alternative treatment. We all aware the limitation of remote
consulting,but you have to achieve your goal step by step. Telephone
consulting is the first step so the patient can get some basic information
to decide if he/she wants to go even further.

I meant a free advice on the BBS, not on your business. Sorry for any
misunderstanding.
It is important to separate healthcare for patients from healthcare business
on the rich in China.
I don't think any business oriented American physicians care about difficult
cases in China. Instead, most US based healthcare services on Chinese
target on the business. The truth is that only the rich can afford.
