this letter is to inform you that you are not eligible to be registered by
ECFMG for the USMLE step 1, step 2 Clinical Knowledge or USMLE step 2
clinical Skills or for ECFMG Certification. Therefore, your recent
application for USMLE Step1 has been rejected.
The medical degree that ECFMG requires from graduates of Chinese medical
schools is the "Bachelor of Medicine in Medicine" diploma if MBBS degree
certificate that allowed the graduate to take the Chinese Doctors Licensing
Examination (CDLE) (also called the National Medical Licensing Examination-
NMLE) and proceed to the practice of general medicine without restriction in
China.
The "Bachelor of Medicine in Preventive Medicine" diploma that you submitted
is not the "Bachelor of Medicine in Medicine" diploma or MBBS degree
certificate that allows the graduate to take the CDLE/NMLE and proceed to
the practice of general medicine without restriction in China. ECFMG has
received information from the officials in China that graduates who have
been awarded the "Bachelor of Medicine in Preventive Medicine" diploma and
have graduated in 1999 or after are not eligible to take the CDLE/NMLE.
Therefore, you are not eligible for the USMLE or for ECFMG certification.
If, however, you took or were eligible to take the CDLE/NMLE and proceed to
the practice of general medicine without restriction in China, you may be
eligible to request an exception to take USMLE to obtain ECFMG
certification. In this case, you must submit documentation to ECFMG that
ECFMG must the verify this documentation with the appropriate officials in
China.

儿子，泪如泉涌：妈妈后半辈子还能干什么，怎么养活你？
本科毕业后念了个生物专业的硕士，对生物学研究很失望。不到万不得已，不做生物实

MM想开一点。世界上的路很多啊。
楼上大家都讲了。你可以做nurse practitioner和related工作，可以做clinical
research相关的，可以做PA, 再说除了你，还有老公还有养活家和宝宝啊！
如果一定要做医生。到俺们premed俱乐部来吧。俺们这儿有好几个妈妈。
可以考MD, 可以考DO, 可以考Dental school, pharmacy school, 还可以考中医.

P.S. 题外话，看到利比亚革命以后，很多从索马里啊，埃塞俄比亚到利比亚打工的人都不能再在利比亚工作了，都成难民了。地中海对岸的欧洲也不欢迎非洲难民。有一艘载着非洲难民的船，从利比亚的港口出发，引擎坏了。船在海上漂了一个多月。有一个直升机飞过，扔了几瓶水，也没再回来。意大利的海上警察听到警报，也没有积极援救。这船上的一百多个人，最后只活下九个人，其余的或者掉到海里，或者饿死，渴死了。最后这个船又漂回到利比亚。其中一个人，又被送上了船，最后幸运到达了意大利。这些事情就发生在同一个世界上，也发生在和我们一样有血有肉有家人的人身上。
所以...我们实在都是很幸运的。

因为中国１９９８年６月２６号开始实施《执业医师法》。本来预防医学专业传统上都
可以去传染病医院做医生的，但我们班６０多人最后只有一个回了老家的传染病医院，
还不知道是不是家里找了关系,也许他可以成为最后一段提到的exception.

如果你真的有医生梦，不如从pre-med重头读起，这样的例子有很多。
如果你只想有一份收入不错而且稳定的工作，可选的方向就更多了，真不必这样哭哭啼
啼。
当妈妈的，无论做什么工作，即便是在家里带孩子，自己开心才能给家里带来快乐，孩
子才能健康快乐的成长。有一个好的生活态度比有一个好的职业更重要。

师的大有人在，刑法都有不遵守的，还医师法。
