Medical Technologist (ASCP)
Description
Responsible for the analysis of laboratory specimens and subsequent result
reporting according to laboratory protocol and procedures.

Requirements
Bachelors degree in relevant science such as medical technology,
biology, or chemistry
One year clinical laboratory internship preferred
MT(ASCP) or equivalent registration, or MT eligible under Medicare
laboratory regulations
Strong background in Microbiology
Ability to operate, troubleshoot, maintain, and calibrate medical
laboratory analyzers and equipment
Ability to use independent judgement to organize and test blood,
body fluid, and tissue specimens and to evaluate and report results to the
physician accurately and efficiently
Good social and technical communication skills
Ability to collect venous, arterial, and capillary blood samples
from all ages of patients. Ability to work as a team member
Understands and uses clinical laboratory and other medical
terminology. Moderately advanced computer skills with some typing | c*****g
