This patient is male, 40 years old, found spleen enlarged at this June,
generally well, medical history: Hepatocirrhosis.
EXAMINATION RESULT;
04/06/2008: Ultrasound: liver enlarges, diffused damage change, suggesting
hepatocirrhosis, portal vein hypertension; huge spleen, over the navel
medium, 6cm below navel, thickness is about 6cm, splenic vein slightly widen | l*******n

for idiopathic myelofibrosis that is refractory to hydroxyurea, when patient
still with portal hypertension and anemia, and symptoms, then splenectomy
is an option, if the patient is too sick to undergo surgery, then you can
consider radiation to the spleen that might reduce the size a little bit,
since philadelphia chromosome is negative, not sure what is the rule of
gleevec in this particular case,
