炎的牙，牙槽骨严重损坏，可能要拔掉。然后列了首先要做的deep clean 的清单, 而
且推荐我去一个peridontist. deep
clean 清单估价如下，这些是我自己要copay的：
第一次：full mouth debridement $50 + subgingival irrigation $ 88/full
第二到第5次：perio scaling root planning $60／quad + subgigival irrigation $
69/quad
这个deep clean总共大概 $654.
后来去那个dental office推荐的peridontist，说法完全一样。牙医只先给我说了第一
步，deep clean，我的保险cover
scaling and root planning，$60 per quad, 总共$240，然后说什么放药(antibiotic
)之类的到患处，然后还没有等他 |

发帖数: 4445 | 2 If both dentists suggested subgingival irrigation, it's probably somewhat
warranted in your case. The irrigation (esp. with antibiotics) generally
gives a better chance of controlling bacteria that is causing your
periodontis.
As of the cost, the specialist would definitely charge more. You could
return to the general dentist to save $$.

问题就是，第二个医生说的那个antibiotics是指local的，我有一颗牙老发炎，这个我
可以理解，就在发炎的那块。这个
irrigation是我自己提的，感觉他当时愣了一下，就说probably，后来我说有点贵，我
可不可以不做，结果他也就跟着说非
得做了，而且他看出来我今天并不想做treatment，就直接让我走人，态度立即转变，
总共看病加上最开始他的寒暄也就两
分钟。我也copay了门诊费的，$20，其他保险cover。我现在想起来觉得那20都不值。
我的意思就是我不提，他不会想到，我提了，他就加进去了，而且看我不做就直接赶我
走了。
而且他赶走我，咨询了一下前台算帐的，她说我这颗牙要弄下来至少$10,000. 这个只
是第一步，如果我接着下去做，可能
就得一两万美元了，我觉得实际可能会更多。
如果我已经工作了，也就算了，问题我还是学生，快毕业但还没有找到工作，说不定还
得呆家几个月吃老本呢……我是
hmo 的 plan，怕碰到忽悠的医生。

The $10000 for replacing one single tooth is really high. Bone grafting plus
implant plus crown should be between $1500 and $4000 in most places. |
