发帖数: 1211 | 3 There is no treatment for TIA, because it is transient as the name implies.
The body cured it automatically. However, TIA is a big risk factor for
stroke in the future.
The patient will need a work up for the cause of TIA, so that risk factors
can be eliminated or minimized. In particular, he will need carotid
ultrasound to look for thrombus. Treatment for high blood pressure, high
cholesterol, diabetes significant lowers risk of stroke. He may need daily
aspirin or other anti-platelet agents, but that need to decided by his own
