发帖数: 85 | 1 在小诊所的lab上班八个月，今天单位大家一起测tb，大约5小时后就肿了，是不是已经
说明是阳性了？
10年的时候在研究所实习前也测过tb，当时几乎看不出有肿块。。
另外，我现在的工作是urine drug test，需要接种那些疫苗吗？我不是医学专业的，
所以不是很了解应该如何防护。。工作场所是病人的必经地，很想知道如何保护自己的
健康。。。尤其是测完tb后，很担心，求大家指教！！！ |

美国为什么不给接种TB疫苗呢？？
病人中有TB，hep B, HIV, lung cancer......想着从工作环境中传染到TB心里挺难过
的，很担心会传给家人，或者影响以后怀孕

Hep B疫苗去打一个
HIV, lung cancer通过urine是无法传染给你的
tb也是空气传播，和urine没啥关系 |

了病。
除非病毒发作。
医生可能会让你吃9各月isoniazid + vitamin b6
吃的时候不能喝酒 |

发帖数: 85 | 7 今天早上48小时护士量了一下，有16mm，让我明天去health department检查。
其实是打完针第一天最红肿，像被虫子咬了一样。后来就慢慢变小，今天感觉全身有点
发热和咳嗽，但是量体温还是正常的。

2010年测过两次tb都是阴性，这次测是阳性，还和卡介苗有关系么？
今天去了health department,护士说他们认为我是latent tb,抽了三管血，然后约了两
周后见医生
另外，还要去接种hep A, menactra之类的么？

发帖数: 4124 | 10 this is NOT true. there are many methods of preparing BCG. only the British
method has been linked to ~10% PPD positive rate. all other methods have
nothing to do with positive PPD. unfortunately Chinese patients are so
successful in brainwashing doctors in other countries. the truth is TB
infection is still very common in China. in such wards as neurology,
pulmonary medicine and gastroenterology, you always see 10-20% of the
inpatients in most medium to big hospitals are TB patients even though it's
not lung tuberculosis.

PPD, you have at least 10% chance in your next 10 years to have a frank
tuberculosis (not necessarily lung infection).

发帖数: 4124 | 15 your impaired glucose tolerance is likely linked to PCOS, even though it's
difficult to prove in individual patients. you should have an ob/gyn and an
endocrinologist that you can go to.
"frank" in medicine means obvious or active of a disease.
if you were negative 2 years ago and positive now, it means you have been
exposed to M. Tuberculosis, unless you have some certain hyperactive immune
status. you should make the decision whether to take INH. it depends on many
factors. if you feel you will have other medical issues to deal with in the
future (such as your PCOS), you may want to have this one taken care of now
. it will not 100% eliminate future tb infection, but greatly reduces the
chance. INH has some hepatotoxicity, but it is not big. that being said, you
still need to pay attention to any signs of possible liver damage.
if not treated, you will have at least 10% chance to have an active tb
infection in the next 10 years or so. only a small percentage of that is
lung infection. public health officials only cares about lung tb cases
because they are highly contagious. well, they do care about other tb cases
but to a much lesser extent. once you were to have active tb, the treatment
would be much more aggressive than if you took INH now.

picture. tb infection of other parts also kills, in some cases with a higher
mortality than tb of the lung.
so many tuberculous infections are common in China: lymph node, meninges,
plura, peritoneum, bone, oviducts etc. and people just choose to ignore them
when talking about numbers.
