刚到MI，很想看看慕名已久的红叶。

发帖数: 2868 | 5 问题是如果去up的，一个周末根本不够。从aa或者detroit这边开过到pictured rocks,
要400多mi, 来回要差不多1000mi. 所以如果真的去的话，copper harbor, pictured
rocks, taquamenon falls, porcupine mountain state park, 甚至是mackinac
island，这些地方如果都玩下来的话，怎么也要4，5天。
我之前想10月份第一周去的，但最近玩的实在是太high了，礼拜5去密州家吃饭，本来
想晚上就回来的，结果后来去aa的bar, 弄到夜里2点才完事，所以只能在老杨家睡觉了
。昨天又打badminton, 又滑冰，最后打牌，最后夜里2点才到家。所以最后是否去北密
起早贪黑的去拍照，现在还有些犹豫。
anyway, 如果有谁真的想用4天左右的时间去那边看看，可以跟帖。只要不是太忙的话
，我应该可以去。
最后发2张昨天聚会的照片吧。滑冰&badminton没照，最后在老杨家打texas holdem。
娱乐性质，很多人又不会，输的人做俯卧撑，密州那里有俯卧撑的照片，我没照。 | m**i

北密水分充足，叶子稍微比同温度的要晚一点，下个月中旬比较好，我们这里大概就要
再多等2周了。
当然，每年气候不一样，也有一定的偏差 | m**i

如果你父母比较年轻（《60）可能还好些。否则他们可能吃不消。
还有没有人想去的，可以大家轮流着开车。不然太累了。

rock。再下个星期时间会宽裕些，可以星期三就出发，可是担心叶子已经过peak了 | p**l

Pure Michigan Fall Color Update 09/27/2012
This week, Michigan’s fall color display continues to make a slow, but
graceful, advance across the Upper Peninsula, where peak conditions are
still two to three weeks away. Many of the region’s trees are stressed;
resulting in only a hint of color change is reflected in the area.
Chippewa County is predicting bursts of color for this approaching weekend.
A road trip to Tahquamenon Falls State Park or Point Iroquois Lighthouse are
reported to be the ideal locations to experience the unspoiled terrain,
wilderness lure and color that the Upper Peninsula has to offer.
The oaks and maples are starting to paint a brilliant roadside canvas in the
Keweenaw. The best color so far is along M-26 coming into the peninsula in
the Twin Lakes area. Color on the Keweenaw Peninsula ranges from 25% in the
Twin Lakes area to 5% in the far north near Copper Harbor with 10% in
between.
Overall, the Upper Peninsula is displaying mostly early color with some peak
to near-peak conditions.
Northeast Michigan’s US-23 near Alpena is just starting to exhibit color
when viewers will see a hint of yellow and red among the Aspens, oak and
maples.
Color seekers will be bedazzled by Alcona’s mid-morning mist from the night
air is reduced to droplets of water which reflect as rubies, garnets, topaz
and emeralds as leaves are just beginning to change color in Northeastern
Michigan. Peak is still three to four weeks away.
Fall color is just starting its swing across the Charlevoix County area.
Noteworthy drives for the upcoming weekend include glimpses of red maple
trees along the county’s major roads.

City area is still showing only 5 to 10 percent peak color. Right now, the
most brilliant color is in the bright red leaves of the Virginia Creeper
vines twining in the still-green trees and the crimson of the staghorn sumac.
One excellent place to enjoy fall color is northwest of Traverse City on the
Leelanau Peninsula, the “little finger” of the Michigan mitten – a place
of beautiful scenery and quaint lakeshore villages, and home to the
magnificent Sleeping Bear Dunes. The coastal fringes of this remarkable area
can be sampled easily along M-22, which follows the shore of Grand Traverse
Bay to Northport, then turns abruptly southwest to skirt the coast of Lake
Michigan through Leland, Glen Arbor and the Sleeping Bear Dunes. (Be sure
not to miss the side jaunt on M-109 through the “ghost port” of Glen Haven
and past the famous Dune Climb to the Pierce Stocking Scenic Drive, which
offers splendid views of the surrounding lake and dune country.) But while
most visitors are content to follow the Leelanau shoreline route, more
adventurous travelers know that when it comes to fall colors the peninsula’
s hilly interior often provides a more brilliant show than the coastlands.
Here, along the slopes above Lake Leelanau and the two Glen Lakes, is a
largely undiscovered region of farmlands, woods, vineyards and small towns
that still retain traces of their Polish and Bohemian founders.
The Grayling area is showing limited color along I-75 heading north, which
should make for a pleasant fall drive this weekend.
As you stroll downtown South Haven, the beech and maple leaves are just
showing a slight hint of crimson. As you get into the more densely wooded
areas between South Haven and Bangor, or South Haven and Saugatuck, more
vibrant colors are visible. Blue Star Highway (A2) between South Haven and
Saugatuck is an absolutely gorgeous area which is expected to offer some of
the area’s best fall foliage as the season progresses. The area also offers
a number of seasonal activities at locations like Crane Orchards and Fenn
Valley Vineyards & Wine Cellar in Fennville.
Most of Michigan’s lower peninsula is reporting mostly summer-like foliage
as peak conditions are still at least three to four away.

up will occur next wk, most likely thursday(10/4) to sunday（10/30）. but b
/c im also planning to go see algonquin provincial park in canada, so i will
just go see up this wkend and part of next wk. some websites on the fall
color of up that i found to be useful：

Also, base on today's foliage network report,

up is already in its moderate color, so there is probably a good chance that

all in all, drive safe! from mackinac island to pictured rocks, there is a
road thats really easy to fall in asleep, it is just sooooo straight. | y****n

hotel @ houghton, possibly thunder bay, i might camp at kakabeka falls,
gonna call them tonight and see. On thursday night(10/4), i will drive to a
place called north bay, which is 150mi from algonquin and then drive to
algonquin on friday, so i will stay at a hotel in north bay as well. | | | m**i

比picture rock 早几天。
我可能周三，周四去。
