Actually, this is the clinic I am using right now. I have due date in August
. They have about 6 ob doctors, and they use "rotation" procedure. I can not
choose doctor. Every month, I met different doctor. I don't even know which
ob will help deliver my baby. This make me feel unconfortable. When I had
my first child in Detroit, I had the only ob from my first appointment to
delivery.
At my first appointment, Dr. Rober Long said, he is supposed to be my
delivery doctor, so he will try to meet me one/two more times in the future
regular appointmnets. However, they don't know which doctor will help my
delivery, so all clinic doctors will rotate to get the chance to meet me in
the future in the monthly appointmnets. So far I met him twice already, but
I was just told that Dr. Long is leaving, when I called them last week.
I am not sure the "rotation" is quite common in US or not. Does you or
anyone know? I just feel uncomfortable that the ob will help my delivery
will be the one I am not sure or even not familiar with.
By the way, in my past 4 appointments experience, their nurses and ultra
sound doctor all look rush. Rush to measure everything. They are not rude,
but rush.... = =

pregnancy. Occasionally if you OB is on vacation, you will see a nurse
practitioner, otherwise you should see the same doctor throughout the whole
process. OB should not change all the time.
However, for delivery it's totally different. If you happen to deliver in
daytime, your OB should be the one delivering for you but if you happen to
deliver at night, it's whoever doctor is on call that night.
P.S. I am not in Troy so I know nothing about the clinic but this is what I
know about OB practice. | gr
