while performing the song at the Super Bowl on Sunday.
“I can only hope that everyone could feel my love for this country and that
the true spirit of it’s anthem still came through,” Christina said in a
statement to the Associated Press following her performance in Arlington,
Texas.
Instead of singing the line “O’er the ramparts we watched, were so
gallantly streaming,” she repeated a previous line of the song singing, “
What so proudly we watched at the twilight’s last gleaming.” In the
botched line she also sang “watched” instead of “hailed.” | d***y
