Delta will Temporarily Suspend Flights between Detroit and Tokyo-Haneda
Later This Year
(July 6, 2011) - The U.S. Department of Transportation has approved Delta’s
request to temporarily suspend service later this year between Detroit and
Tokyo-Haneda. The last day for service from Detroit to Haneda will be Aug.
30, and the last day for service from Haneda to Detroit will be Aug. 31.
Flights between Detroit and Haneda will resume on April 26 and 27, for
westbound and eastbound flights, respectively.
Delta appreciates the decision by the Department of Transportation to grant
a temporary waiver of service between Detroit and Haneda. Delta applied for
the waiver following the earthquake and tsunami in Japan, which was
compounded with the increase in jet fuel prices.
Delta Reservations will assist with protecting passengers affected by this
service suspension on alternate flights. Travel agents may find worked PNRs
on schedule change queues and are advised to follow normal schedule change
procedures. As always, Reservations and Sales Support are available to
assist travel agents with questions or alternative options. |

The Skyteam member has received approval from the US Department of
Transportation to temporary suspend this route once again, as it is
struggling with the booking numbers after March 2011 Earthquake. It plans to
resume this route from 26APR12 from DTW, 27APR12 from HND.

就像德国的法兰克福。
