i would like to say that we in the US have no ground to oppose the
construction of carriers by the Chinese Gov. Also they have the right
; to national defense just as much as we do. And BTW obi2012 we have 19.

Navy. Other countries have their many aircraft carriers but we don't. For a
long time, the Chinese people have been dreaming of having one aircraft
carrier of our own. These days the-aircraft-carrier-dream has came true.
This Aircraft Carrier Style is totally different from "Gangnam Style". This
is a spontaneous celebration among Chinese people with happiness, not a
modern entertainment event. You can see Some rabbit symbol, that's because

flammable wooden tops), the Harrier (much appreciated by the US Marines). An
RAF Harrier pilot had the idea for the ski jump ramp to save fuel taking
off out in the countryside of Cold War Germany during my time in the RAF.
his concept later adapted for carriers by the RN. Whilst spring, compressed
air or hydraulic catapults may well have been invented in the US. It was
Commander C C Mitchell RNVR who first suggested taking steam from the ship&#
191;s main boiler to power a catapult in 1954 and it proved to be
considerably more reliable and powerful. Development is back with the US now
looking to replace steam technology on their next generation carriers with
electromagnetic catapults. The UK is no longer a leading, innovative
engineering nation and I despair at how my country has changed into a shadow
of it's former self, just in my lifetime.

the fact that theyre only doing what the US and french deck crews do is not
mentioned anywhere i see.... also to those, such as olny just a thought (
particularly them - also please note that the USSR no longer exists.....),
who think were the only country without an operating fixed wing carrier when
in fact there are only 10 nations operating aircraft carriers and 2 of
those have changed their carriers into helicopter landing platforms (UK
included)

It is a snazzy looking aircraft carrier. But both it and the jet they are
using are 1970's technology.That isn't saying anything wrong. The Chinese
say it's only for training, but they have issues in the South China Sea, and
it might come in handy there. But they have one, and the US has 14 carrier
groups with two more being built. Further this has a jump ramp take off,
where as all ours are steam catapult. Meaning we can launch six a minute and
they can launch one, and our Nimitz class is 4 times the size of this one.
The thing with all these worry warts is they never see the whole picture.
This never was meant as a threat to the US, and why would they want to
threaten us? Without our markets their economy would be in trouble. They don
't want that. They're just more practical and less jingoistic than the
common American. That's why they have, and have had, about 40 nuclear war
heads and we have 1500. They could have made tons more. Why would they need,
or want, to? They're not stupid

I find it quite funny but in reality the Chinese are wasting their time and
money with an aircraft carrier.The Americans have had the best aircraft
carrier's in the world since world war two even the Ruskies know this, why
do u think they sold the only one they ever made to the Chinese? On a guess
i would say their technology in this area is about fifty years behind the
yanks.

Navy doesn't do..... then again, we borrowed the angled deck idea from the
