HONG KONG — THE combination of a strong, rising China and economic
stagnation in Europe and America is making the West increasingly
uncomfortable. While China is not taking over the world militarily, it seems
to be steadily taking it over commercially. In just the past week, Chinese
companies and investors have sought to buy two iconic Western companies,
Smithfield Foods, the American pork producer, and Club Med, the French

Really Especially, coming from a Spaniard)? By that you mean the all the
Prosperity from Empires, Slavery and Colonialism, right?
You mean the overthrowing of democracies and the destabilizing of sovereign
nations? You mean the propping up of regimes and dictators that are "pro-
western" or the sponsoring or rebel/terror groups? You mean the horrible
environmental and ethical records of western companies around the world that
's too long to list? You mean the "unfair" trade policies or crippling debt
agreements?
Please, don't insult the intelligence of your Readers.
You are wasting your time peddling your "YELLOW PERIL". China is rising and
it would be alot more beneficial for everyone to think constructively of how
to improve ourselves as individuals, our culture of doing certain things,
our institutions and our government policies in order to be more competitive
rather revealing your envy, hypocrisy, schadenfreude etc and insecurity and
hoping for the stagnation or wholesale demise of +1 Billion people.
