It's a game theory time: even if "Killing all the chinese"'s a joke, but we
need to squish this kind of joke while in joking stage. The laughters
after the kid made this statement and the persistent smurks from the 6 year
old guests, it's pretty bone chilling.
So Mr Kimmel's show and Disney (parent company of ABC) needs to pay for this
joke. Mr Kimmel is probably as basically decent person, but he could
afford to lose his job and he will probably be happy to lose his job to help
right a wrong. ABC and Disney failed to censor a clearly taboo statement/
joke from a 6 year old, should be held liable for child abuse of the 6 year
old show guests and any children who accidentally were exposed to this
extraordinarily nonfunny barbaric message.
We have to make the cost of making such jokes very high, because, nobody
wants this joke to risk having 0.0001% chance of turning into 0.0001%
reality.
So:
1. sign the petition. Organize protests/boycotts at Disney/local ABC
affiliates: protect
the children, protect the multi-cultural american tradition and be funny
instead of being scary
