Nation of Islam leader Louis Farrakhan went on a fiery tirade about Ferguson
on Saturday — threatening that if the demands of protesters aren’t met,
“we’ll tear this goddamn country apart!”
Farrakhan stated in his speech — given at Morgan State University, a black
college located in Baltimore, Md. — that violence was justified in response
to the decision not to indict officer Darren Wilson and peaceful protests
are only in the interest of “white folks.”
“We going to die anyway. Let’s die for something,” the radical figure
told the crowd to roaring applause.
He even said the parents of teenagers should teach their kids how to throw
Molotov cocktails. “Teach your baby how to throw the bottle if they can.
Fight,” the minister advised, and then imitated throwing the explosive

ST. LOUIS (AP) -- A law enforcement interview with a key witness doesn't
appear to be included with thousands of pages of documents released after a
grand jury decided not to indict a Ferguson police officer in the fatal
shooting of 18-year-old Michael Brown.
The Associated Press reviewed more than 5,700 pages of documents released by
St. Louis County prosecutors. It doesn't appear that the documents include
a transcript or a recording of a two-hour FBI and county police interview
with Brown's friend, Dorian Johnson, who was with Brown when he was shot.
The discrepancy was first reported by KSDK-TV.
The documents include seven video clips of Johnson's media interviews, as
well as a transcript of his testimony to the grand jury that investigated
the shooting. The transcript notes that jurors listened to a recording of an
Aug. 13 interview of Johnson by the federal and county investigators, but
documents released to the public don't appear to include a separate
transcript of that August interview.
"If it's not there, it's not there," Ed Magee, a spokesman for St. Louis
County Prosecuting Attorney Bob McCulloch, said Monday. "I don't know what
was released."
Magee acknowledged that his office didn't release copies of FBI interviews
with some witnesses at the request of the U.S. Department of Justice, which
is conducting a separate civil rights investigation into Brown's death. An
FBI spokeswoman in St. Louis declined comment Monday.
"Those reports are not ours to release," Magee said.
Grand jury investigations are closed to the public, but McCulloch took the
unusual step of releasing documents shown to the grand jury. At the time, he
said he wanted transparency and believed "everyone will be able to examine
that same evidence and come to their own conclusion."
McCulloch released the documents Nov. 24, after the grand jury decided not
to indict the officer, Darren Wilson. Johnson was walking with Brown when
they encountered Wilson in a Ferguson street in August. Wilson fatally shot
Brown, who was unarmed, after a struggle.
Wilson resigned from the Ferguson Police Department in late November. | l*****7

New York (CNN) -- Two New York police officers were shot ambush-style
Saturday as they sat in their patrol car in Brooklyn, according to two law
enforcement sources.
Both officers were shot in the head, the sources said. Few other details
were available.
They were rushed to a hospital in critical condition, said police spokesman
Sgt. Lee Jones.
The alleged shooter was found dead in a nearby subway station from a self-
inflicted gunshot wound, according to a law enforcement official.
The shooting occurred near Myrtle and Tompkins avenues in the Bedford-
Stuyvesant section of Brooklyn.

The assassination of two NYPD officers in broad daylight has revealed a
major fissure between the department and the mayor's office.
NYPD officers have been directed to arrest people only if "absolutely
necessary" as cops adjust to working in a "wartime police department,"
according to a police union memo obtained by AOL News.
"Absolutely NO law enforcement action in the form of arrests and or
summonses is to be taken unless absolutely necessary and unless an
individual must be placed under arrest," the note stresses.
The memo came Saturday evening following the shooting deaths of officers
Wenjin Liu and Raphael Romero.
A veteran NYPD officer told AOL News: "Cops are not gonna give a s**t
anymore.
"The mayor is a wolf in sheep's clothing and his poor choice of words, along
with other officials and activists, helped perpetuate this senseless
killing."
The PBA memo also that claimed New York Mayor Bill de Blasio's "hands are

(CNN) -- A police officer in Tarpon Springs, Florida, was shot and killed
early Sunday, a sheriff's spokeswoman said.
A suspect is in custody.
The fatal shooting occurred in a residential area in the predawn hours,
said Cecilia Barreda from the Pinellas County Sheriff's Office.
The slain officer, Charles Kondek, was a 17-year veteran of the Tarpon
Springs Police Department.
Kondek, 45, was a New York City police officer for five years before
moving to Florida, the sheriff's office said.
The sheriff's office identified the suspect as Marco Antonio Parilla Jr., 23.
Parilla faces a charge of first-degree murder.
The sheriff's office and local police are investigating.
Tarpon Springs is located on Florida's Gulf Coast about 10 miles

A St. Louis County police officer reportedly shot and killed an armed
suspect who pointed a gun at him. It happened near a gas station in Berkeley
, a town about two miles away from Ferguson.
(Reuters) - An 18-year-old black man was shot and killed by police late on
Tuesday at a gas station in a St. Louis suburb near where unarmed teen
Michael Brown was killed by a white officer in August, police and local
media said.
A video feed showed the gas station cordoned off by yellow tape and guarded
by police, some in helmets and carrying riot shields, with bystanders
shouting at them in a tense standoff.
The shooting of Brown in the summer, and the decision not to prosecute the
officer involved, set off demonstrations across the country. The St. Louis
Post-Dispatch newspaper reported that some 60 people had gathered at the
scene of Tuesday's incident and that at least three were arrested.
Images and video footage showed a flash, a loud bang and smoke filling an
area near the gas pumps, but it was not clear whether they were caused by
bystanders or the police. Local broadcaster KSDK reported people hurled
rocks and bricks toward police.
Police said the man who was killed had pointed a handgun at an officer who
was conducting a "routine business check" and had approached two men outside
the gas station after 11 p.m. (0500 GMT) in the suburb of Berkeley.
"Fearing for his life, the Berkeley Officer fired several shots, striking
the subject, fatally wounding him," St. Louis County Police Department
spokesman Brian Schellman said in a statement. The second man fled the scene.
The St. Louis Post-Dispatch named the dead man as 18-year-old Antonio Martin
, citing his mother, who said he was with his girlfriend around the time of
the shooting.
"They won't tell me nothing. His girlfriend told me that the police was
messing with him," the man's mother, Toni Martin, told a local broadcaster.
"When he was trying to get up and run, they start shooting."
St. Louis County police recovered the deceased's man's handgun at the scene.
The did not confirm his identity.
LAPD INVESTIGATES SONG
Berkeley neighbors the suburb of Ferguson, where police officer Darren
Wilson shot Michael Brown on Aug. 9, a killing that fueled criticism of the
way police and the criminal justice system treat minority groups.
Protests in Ferguson have taken place for months and spilled over into
violence when a grand jury decided not to charge Wilson.
Demonstrations in cities across the country gained in momentum when a New
York grand jury decided not to charge police over the death of Eric Garner,
a 43-year-old black man whom police tackled and put in a chokehold.
Before the latest incident, about 200 people marched in New York on Tuesday,
defying Mayor Bill de Blasio's call for protests to be suspended after two
police officers were killed in their patrol car on Saturday in an apparent
revenge attack.
In Los Angeles, police said they would investigate whether any officers were
involved in the singing of a song, at a party organized by a retired
policeman, that poked fun at the Ferguson killing.
The lyrics of the song, on a video posted on entertainment news website TMZ,
said: "Michael Brown learned a lesson about a messin' with a badass
