satellites “with a government or military purpose. Some seem to carry
optical payloads and others carry radar. There are also some launches into

anti-ship ballistic missile designed to reach surface targets at ranges
greater than 900 nautical miles.
This system, by nature, requires outside guidance to hit the target. They
would only be effective in a Pearl Harbor-like surprise attack on battle
groups within that range. Once hostilities began, satellite and land based
support elements would be immediately destroyed. |
