alone? Did someone expect her in Mexico?However, as soon as they were
aware, they typed the characters for Canada into a computer and out shot the
names of Michael Kovrig, a former diplomat, and Michael Spavor, an
attention getting device.
Both men probably were under observation by Chinese Intel and most likely
there were sting (entrapment) operations on each of them waiting to be
sprung. Sprung they were, a la Viktor Bout, Konstantin Yaroshenko, Julian
Assange. Example entrapments right out of the Intelligence Agent's textbook.
Kovrig is an ex-diplomat cum spy and the Canadian government could not
tolerate his imprisonment for more than a day or two. Certainly not
tolerate his detainment because Pompeo's requested Meng's extradition.
As it stands, Meng is out on bailed and Kovrig will be in a couple of days.
But the Chinese are still holding Michael Spavor, and who knows what tales
he has to tell? |
