Apple iOS 13.1.2 Warning Issued For iPhone Users
Apple iOS 13 is a disaster zone and, despite three rushed updates, the
problems (some potentially dangerous) continue to mount. And now millions of
iPhone owners risk being hit by another one.
Once again, iPhones are struggling to be phones. Adding to a serious issue
which can force users to handle their phones when driving, I have been
contacted by iPhone owners who have upgraded to iOS 13 and found they can
barely make phone calls due to continual call dropping. Look online and the
reports are spreading. Moreover, they seem to have gotten worse with the
latest iOS 13.1.2 update.
“@AppleSupport dropping calls like crazy after iOS 13 update. Really bad
after 13.1.2 update. Call will drop after 30 seconds to a minute. I use
phone for business...not a good impression. iPhone X” - source
“@AppleSupport Frequent no signal issue after updating to iOS 13.1.2 on my
iPhone SE. I missed a lot of important business calls! The issue can’t be
solved just by switching to airplane mode. It needs complete restart. Fix it
“ - source
“Have been having the WiFi issues ever since I upgraded to iOS 13, the call
dropping seems to have come with 13.1.2.” - source
“@AppleSupport iPhone 11 ProMax iOS 13.1.2 constant dropped calls. Called
Apple support they refreshed something, called att they also refreshed
something. Still happening. Wasn’t happening 6 days ago with iPhone X. Need
help can’t use phone for business that’s dropping calls!!!!!” - source
“I knew why I never wanted to update my iPhone. All calls are dropping
after a few seconds. Can you please release a new update or let us go back
to the previous version @AppleSupport? iPhone xR, iOS 13.1.2“ - source
“@AppleSupport Ever since the latest IOS 13.1.2 I have been experiencing
dropped calls on virtually every call made, the conversation all of a sudden
sounds like it’s buffering and then it cuts. Pls help“ - source
“Hey Siri, you screwed up my phone when you went to IOS 13.1.2. Now all my
calls drop after 5 minutes, even on calls for work. #weak @applesupport” -
source
“This is ridiculous!! All my calls drop after a few minutes! I HATE this
new update!” - source
Similarly, when one user mentioned this issue on Apple Communities, five
pages of replies followed while AppleSupport on Twitter is being bombarded.
All of which highlights the vicious circle of the bug-filled iOS 13 release:
it forces rapid-fire updates which, in turn, cause new problems themselves.
Furthermore, the latest iOS 13.2 beta is also affected by this issue. This
suggests Apple has bigger fires to fight and, while that tells everything
you need to know about why you should avoid iOS 13 at all costs right now,
it means iPhones failing to be phones could continue for some time.
So while I’d love to advise iPhone owners to upgrade to iOS 13 for all the
great secret features Apple has hidden, this is easily trumped by the
priority of having a working handset afterwards. That’s also to say nothing
of iOS mysteriously downgrading your accessories and making your repairs
come back to haunt you.
Apple must get a grip on iOS 13, and soon.
