The US Missile Defence Agency (MDA) has announced a failed test of its
controversial Groundbased Midcourse Defence interceptor. The agency blamed

The US Air Force says a missile-intercept test failed when a long-range
missile launched from the Vandenberg Air Force Base in California missed a
target missile launched from a Pacific island because of radar problems, a
statement by the Missile Defense Agency reports. The cost of this missile
test was reported at $120 million.
