The Red Bull Crashed Ice World Championship is making its way back to St.
Paul in 2015.
In the extreme sport, skaters take on an ice track filled with bumps and
turns. The action-packed event with its course full of hills, twists, and
turns is one of the biggest events St. Paul will see this winter.
The season kicks off in St. Paul on Jan. 24. The championship will also make
stops in Belfast, Northern Ireland; Edmonton, Canada; and Helsinki, Finalnd.
This is the fourth consecutive year Crashed Ice has been in St. Paul; the
Northern Ireland and Canada stops are both new this year.
This year's event will also include a women's division. Organizers say the
growing popularity of the sport worldwide has been partially fueled by the
huge crowds in Minnesota. | q***6
