If I lost my paper bond, can I ask the government to replace it?

this entire month. you'll receive the paper I bonds in the mail within 2
weeks.
2. yes, and I think it is free. write down the serial numbers on your paper
I bonds or simply make copies of them.

on treasury direct website

but you cannot convert your paper to electronic I savings bonds if you
already have $5,000 electronic I bonds for the same calendar year
