这里头关键是annual reward year怎么算？
今天通过Amex Chat，得知这个“billing period that begins in January”的意思是
“billing period that includes January 1st”。
以我的BCP card为例，说说通过Chat得知的几点情况供给大家参考：
1. 我的BCP billing cycle ending date为27th，我的Jan statement （Dec 28，2013
-Jan 27, 2013）是我明年2014 annual reward year的第一个billing cycle，也就是
说我的2013年$6000 CAP截止到Dec 27，而不是Dec 31th！
2. 我的BCP是今年6月开的，$6000 CAP并不会因此而prorated，而是完整的$6000 cap。
3. 这个非完全意义上的calendar year cycle，是以你的purchase date为准，而不是
以你的reward post date为准，因为reward可能会延迟1-2个月才post （据说dividend
不一样，就是以reward post date为准的；也许我理解错了dividend，也许dividend也
是和BCP一样以billing cycle ending date为准，待别人指正）
4. statement上的reward summary有6% purchase的amount，可以自己今年所有的
statement拿出来一起加，就知道今年花了$6000 cap的多少；也可以直接找Chat的人帮
你查总共花了多少。（但只能算到你目前出来的statement为止所post的reward对应的6
% purchase，还没post reward出来的item，包括上一个statement和即将出来的
statement里的，得自己计算） |

1. 6000刀是自然年的，不管你的开卡日期是年初还是年末

我刚去看了最新的BCP application的term如下，他们又改得意思更清晰了。你可以通
过改动billing ending date来稍微改动每年的reward year。
“An annual reward year is 12 billing periods in a row beginning with the
one that includes January 1st; if your billing cycle changes, the length of
your annual reward year will also change.”
我不知道自己申请卡的时候的具体term，不过我猜想这个最新的term是apply的，信用
卡很少有grandfathered的policy，基本上新policy出来后几个月内就apply到旧卡上的。
为了防止自己忘了这个trick，建议那些statement ending date在每月上旬的人，改到
每月27th左右吧。（注意不要改为30th，万一不小心变为Jan 1st，因为他们其实是改
你的due date，只有due date能精确到某一天，statement ending date会在前后2-3天
变动）

CRS问了，开始他也是随口说是Dec 31st，经我提醒那个term之后，他去看我的account
，确认了是最后一天是Dec 27th。
而且得知这个$6000 CAP是今年年中的时候才开始实习的policy，所以没有任何以前的
实战经验可以参考。只能看今年有谁去实战一下，明年2月份来汇报是否真的如我帖子
所说的了。

月的那个statement。
可能Amex也意识到这个term很confusing，所以现在改得更清晰了，说是包括Jan 1st
的那个statement，那就是12月开始然后跨越到1月的那个statement了。

purchase得等到下个月的statement才显示在里边的reward summary里的6% purchase
amount。也就是说你可能会算不清。
而且我发现CSR告诉我的6% spend （截止到我Nov 27th ending date），算出来的
reward，要大于我Nov 27th ending date为止post的reward数，他说是会和我新的
billing cycle买的grocery东西（不一定全部）一起post在我Dec 27th的statement，
所以很复杂。anyway，我打算把这个$6000用到$5500上下，留点空间预防自己算错。
