1) Marriott/SPG合并(本周六,8/18)短暂地打开所有Marriott旅店的大门（no more
than 60K/night until end of 2018. Some exception applies, https://
frequentmiler.boardingarea.com/2018/08/11/leaked-marriott-tcs-off-the-chart-
properties-still-off-the-chart/）
2) 和LD一起申了最后一波Ritz-Carlton credit card，拿到了4张Tire 1~4 Free
night certificates。如无意外，应该可用在所有60K/night的旅店，
综上，感觉可以考虑能去哪些平时贵得想都不会想的地方(aspirational stay)。
2. Execution plan
很想听听其他人的意见，以免我们错过了什么，但先分享自己的top choices:
1) 大溪地（Bora Bora)的水上屋(overwater bungalow)
- The St. Regis Bora Bora Resort
- Le Méridien Bora Bora
2) 希腊的白屋顶的房子们（a Luxury Collection Resort系列)
- Blue Palace, a Luxury Collection Resort and Spa, Crete
- Mystique, A Luxury Collection Resort, Santorini
- Santa Marina, a Luxury Collection Resort, Mykonos
但泼下冷水，Bora Bora的standard room不available，所以你需要额外加钱/点数。而
希腊几家看了一下，不知为何都是明年四月都不available(因为孩子那时放假）。
特别声明：
- 我家对那些欧洲历史人文建筑的东西很不感冒，所以什么意大利，巴黎，西班牙
的内陆旅店，即便装潢豪华或者古典的都不是很有兴趣（那玩意能吃吗？），但应该是
很多有内涵文艺青年的菜吧。
- 另外，还有一类是美国和欧洲的滑雪胜地，比如瑞士什么的，我知道也有想多多人非
常喜欢，特别是冬季的时候。
- 再有就是亚洲附近的旅店，比如日本，印尼巴厘岛，泰国，马尔代夫之类的，这些的
问题是如果我飞那么远，与其花时间去那里，我更倾向于选择回国陪家人了（当然国内
家人也能过去就好了，但也没那么富豪），所以我内心里就屏蔽了所有中国和附近的旅
店。。。
- Anyway，这些都是我浏览下面的Category 8 hotel列表感觉出来的，你自己去过一遍
，可能就发现属于自己的hidden gem。
3. Method to get your own list / 如何找你的"aspirational stay"
1) Decide what is the most attractive place to you? (or you must visit
before you die)
2) Come here: https://points-redemption.marriott.com/category-change
3) Enter "85,000" in the search bar, which should show all category 8 hotels.
4) Go through them one by one using your desire in "1". Don't be afraid.
There are not many.
Tips: You had better have some criteria to screen those hotels. For example,
for a beach resort hotel, my family value: 1. ocean (clean, calm, blue), 2.
Sand, and 3. kid pool (those as shallow as your ankle, my kid absolute
favorite). As a result, I often use google satellite view (including shared
private pictures) or Tripadvisor
album to get a feeling.
5) If you have a hard time to decide which one, consider to use the cash
rate to help (the more expensive=the better, or at least less likely to
visit again).
6) If you can't find any somehow but still have to book (e.g Ritz FN
certificates like us), consider to go down ladder and search those "60,000"
hotels. Be cautious, there are much more choices there, and reviewing all of
them could be overwhelming.
最后一步"6)"的好处还有保底作用：保险起见，你“现在”就可以先订一些60k或以下
的旅店，以免如果到时大家发现那些85k的都订不到，结果全都回头来订60k或以下的，
造成没有award night可订。反正到时cancel也来得及。当然如果你没有FN的过期压力
，你可以选择不掺和，继续握着点数等以后的机会。 | D*********Z

吉自然是首选，如果让订的话。希腊这些岛，花钱住稍微好点的非连锁酒店体验不会差
太多。
选择逻辑是看能不能找到替代。前者位置好的就只有那4个死贵的酒店。 | m*****a

遗憾的是，如原贴提到的，那两个bora bora都是没有standard room(不是用光了，就
是没有）：“Free Night Awards at the following locations require a higher
amount of Points either because the Participating Property does not have
standard rooms or the standard rooms it offers have a mandatory full board
requirement in peak seasons”。由于大礼包，我就剩不点marriot点数了，估计未必
付得起“升级”。

RN的不能用，估计所有certificates都不能用了）。
当然，我有backup plan，就是一般休闲，不怎么aspirational罢了。
多说一下，其实也不是category高就贵，60K里面也有很多五星且expensive hotels,
大家还是要自己查查看。

发帖数: 447 | 6 bora bora的水上屋个人感觉要住最靠近海的，看那座山的视线不被别的水上屋遮挡的
才最有感觉。这种房型可能用点换不了。如果standard room都要加钱/点，premium
room可能要加更多。 | h****s
