Running back Silas Redd cited for disorderly conduct
Penn State running back Silas Redd was cited for disorderly conduct after he
was seen urinating near the Agricultural Engineering Building at 4:13 a.m.
today, Penn State Police said.
Police said Redd, 18, of Norwalk, Conn., was not drunk at the time of the
incident. He was issued a citation for disorderly conduct and released, and
he will not be fined, police said.
According to university policies posted on the Office of Judicial Affairs
website, urinating in public — when no damage is incurred — constitutes a
“minor” offense, and punishments typically range from a disciplinary
warning to one semester of disciplinary probation.
Representatives from the Penn State Athletic Department were not available
for comment.
