W********s 发帖数: 2256 | 1 The Austin American-Statesman is reporting that Florida defensive
coordinator Teryl Austin could soon be the
Longhorns new DC after Will Muschamp left to take over the Gators.
At least two sites have stories linking Austin to the Texas job, and one
site quoted an unnamed Gators
assistant who said "I think it's a done deal."
As the Statesman points out, when the job was posted to the school's website
Monday, it specifically stated
that 12 years of coaching at the NCAA Division I-A level and seven years of
NFL coaching experience are
preferred qualifications. Coincidentally, Austin just finished his 13th
season at the college level and was a
defensive back coach for seven season in the NFL.
North Carolina coordinator Everett Withers, who was Mack Brown's secondary
coach for his first three seasons
at Texas and former Miami head coach Randy Shannon are said to be other
possibilities, along with former UT
defensive back Jerry Gray, an assistant for the Seahawks, and Clemson
coordinator Kevin Steele. | n***s 发帖数: 10056 | 2 interesting... They should take UF's OC as well;) | o****3 发帖数: 5100 | 3 After a couple of years, um is coming to austin too... | d*****u 发帖数: 784 | 4 Texas fans have mixed feelings about this hire.
