situation seems to indicate that TP may not get adequate support/development
from our O coaches but used solely his Talent to carry us for the last 3
years.
If that's the case, you have to appreciate his contribution but what a waste
of talent. Had he attended UM or PSU, he might have been a first round
today.
Very mixed feeling for JT now. He managed a superb record with mediocre ( at
best) O for ten years ( lucky we got so many talent players so I guess
recruiting is everything in CFB ), but his living with all these incompetent
O coaches is inconceivable...Are they all his in-laws or they go to the
same church? |

but he just can't figure out a way to run away from those defenders.

on offense. JT did a good job on balancing the offense side but failed to
kick out those coaches. We always have good D coaches though. |

I thought USC also offered, but he was serious about OSU, PSU, UM only.

Why? Is it special relationship? Or JT just want dump puppies so he could
play O himself?
Anyway, all will be wiped out, including the D coaches when the new guy is
in town.
I hope they keep at least Vrabel, though.

I wouldn't be that optimistic as you are... If i were to choose, i would get
rid of everyone in the program including Vrabel. Time will tell if he's
good but we need change immediately.
Coach Tressel had his reasons to keep Jim Bollman and offensive guys. But to
look at the history of our O you will find that non of the successful
offensive coaches would stay longer than 2 yrs.. Troy Smith's coach left
after he got Heisman. Why? Because they knew they would get kicked out
sooner or later and they knew they would get better job after gaining
experiences. But to look at Bollman and his guys, they stayed there for
almost 10 years and did not move their ass to try out somewhere else. Why?
Because they knew they would be covered up by Tressel and they knew they
were not fit for this program and would be exposed if they moved to
somewhere else. Now you see the consequences. How bad our offense is and how
terrible our QBs become. Miller was not a bad passer in high school and you
could see him throwing spirals one by one but in college games what did he
do? Threw ducks one after each other and receivers could not catch a jack!
Whose fault? Partially Miller's pressure conscious is not strong, but
largely due to inadequate training from his coaches. Why TP carried us that
far? Because he had tremendous talent in himself. He carried us from his
pure talent and sense of sports, but he did not get the development he was
expecting before he joined our program. Giving a good QB coach, Pryor would've
won us a national title for sure after seeing his bowl game performance.
maybe i'm talking too much, but that's just how i feel about our situation
now. This season is doomed. Looking for a 5-7 season guys!
