assistant coaches. i'm listing some names in the order of what i think is
their likelihood of coming to madison.
paul chryst, former player and former staff, currently pitt's head coach, is
the obvious no. 1 target.
darrell bevell, former player, former packers and vikings staff, currently
seahawks' offensive co-ordinator, appears to be no. 2 fan favorite.
melvin tucker, former player, saban's disciple at MSU and at LSU and former
tressel's assistant at tOSU, currently jaguars' defensive co-ordinator, is
also mentioned. also, he is black.
former vikings head coach brad childress, former raiders and nebraska head
coach callahan, both served on alvarez's staff.
former packers assistant and NFL head coaches jon gruden and steve mariucci,
if they are interested, which is highly doubtful, especially jon gruden.
it also appears that barry alvarez will try to appease black coaches'
association by having western kentucky's willie taggart on his list.
one name i found surprisingly no one has mentioned is brian white, former
alvarez's assistant and currently florida's offensive co-ordinator.
i don't know if alvarez would hire assistants without wisconsin ties like
