paid out nearly $41 million by the Southeastern Conference for revenues
reported during the 2016 fiscal year (which ended August 31, 2016).
The Aggies were paid out $40,651,350 as part of nearly $640 million in
revenue that the conference generate during that time frame. A&M ranked in
the middle of the pack in the conference in revenue distributions with
Georgia earning about $42 million and Alabama and Ole Miss being paid about
$39 million. These figures dwarfed those from other conferences as follows:
SEC - $39 to $42 million per team
Big Ten - $32.4 million per team
ACC - $24 to $28 million per team
Pac 12 - $25 million per team
Big 12 - $20 to $23.4 million per team
The SEC's total revenues represented an increase of more than 20% from
the 2015 revenues. In addition, the SEC's revenues from TV and radio
were about a third higher in 2016 than in 2015 and double that from 2014. | n****e
