My experience on end of Jun (Sat), I called car service to pick me up at 10:
45AM, and we arrived around 11:20AM. (I live close in Woodbridge about 10
mins away from Kin Man, similar distance to Kin Man for going to JFK.). We
have 2 cars for 6 people, My uncle's car left about 5 minutes after me, and
arrive about 20 minutes after us. He was a SUPER safe driver. There were
some traffic on belt parkway that day.
Check in and security check took as about a bit over 1 hour. We still have
many time to eat lunch inside. (Food sux and expensive.)

I know you are taken China Eastern, here are some advice:
1. They do not have personal TV, but there is an 110 volts outlet in front
of every seat. Good to bring your laptop/iPod/iPad/iPhone/Galaxy/HTC with
charger with you, load it up with stuffs you like. You can recharge power on
plane.
2. There could be a lot of baby crying... bring your own ear plug/headset if
you do not like baby crying / kidding laughing sound.
3. The seat was hard, my axx was pain...
4. Their food sux... especially for the flight departing from JFK. You may
need to use a spoon to eat noodle. Bring some sandwitches may be helpful.
