millburn附近不存在一个学区差一点，房子好很多的town。
数据说话，millburn每年藤校25-35人，10%不到。附近有哪一个学校可以close？
millburn贵，还有一个原因是commute，而且非常重要 |

名也还可以,但是进藤的也就只有4-5%. 如果负担的起, 还是应该买milburn的房子.
milburn高中一般每年havard, Princeton, Yale各能录取4-5个. 除了好的私立高中,
一般地方的学校是比不了的. |

MILLBURN HIGH 每年近10%进藤不假，进 TOP 藤的没有这么多，
进的藤大多数还是康奈尔这类的。
另外同意 LZ 关于 MILLBURN HIGH 比周围 TOWN 公立至少高一档之说。

It's not too far. Similar to MSH, commute train time, on Metro-North instead.
Housing stock might be slightly tighter than MSH. |

，普林斯顿1个，宾大9个，布朗1个，哥大1个，达特茅斯2个，斯坦福4个。可能要把
Duke,Wash U,Johns Hopkins都算上才能凑够10%吧。
且不必说有的小孩是legacy的原因进去的。光光搬到Millburn/Short Hills住还不够喔

他说的意思是申藤，进到 top 10% 还是不够好，需要一个更"低"的数字, 比如 5%。
象 MILLBURN 这样不需考试进入的公立能有 10% 藤率已经很牛啦，
周围那些好学区几乎没有超过 5% 的， 通常就 1~4% 之间。
是在竞争略弱的学校拿 top 1~2% ，还是到Millburn 拿 top 10%，
哪个更难，哪个更适合自家孩子，
这就没有统一答案了。

colleges. Not necessarily Ivys.
But they finally noticed there is a growing market for folks who are only
interested in prep schools that channel kids into HYPSCmbMChiPDDkBCo. So
they set up the so called SHP Scholar curriculum from within.
Basically it's mandatory 2 year AP selection. Kids in this program are made
exemplary for the rest, as smart and more industrial dudes. They certainly
are expected to excel further in academic and probably receive more
glorified rec letter for Ivy applications.
These kids do end up with better chance going to the Ivys. Or

考。 上次去bergen tech vocational, 墙上贴了medical science班里一共40来个学
生，Harvard, Princeton, yale都是两个，二十几个学生都进前二十左右的学校

照俺的标准算一下--
（俺的标准低哈,Duke,JHU,U.Chicago,Northwestern,Williams,Amherst,WashU跟这儿
都算好学校，俺孩儿进哪个俺都真心高兴），
Millburn 327名毕业生进Elite College的41人，12%；俺屯里190名毕业生进Elite的19
人，10%。
虽说俺那儿进大藤的孩儿数目不及Millburn多，好歹Yale,Stanford,MIT,Princeton也
都有。学区虽说差点儿，可俺屯儿的房子大，基本都三千尺往上。再有，学校小，孩子
压力也不大。

admission。中国人也不少。
最后公布的数据是孩子最终选择的学校。不是被accepted. 我知道有人放弃藤校，选择
给全奖的非藤校。

他说的意思是申藤，进到 top 10% 还是不够好，需要一个更"低"的数字, 比如 5%。
象 MILLBURN 这样不需考试进入的公立能有 10% 藤率已经很牛啦，
周围那些好学区几乎没有超过 5% 的， 通常就 1~4% 之间。
是在竞争略弱的学校拿 top 1~2% ，还是到Millburn 拿 top 10%，
哪个更难，哪个更适合自家孩子，
这就没有统一答案了。

But they finally noticed there is a growing market for folks who are only
interested in prep schools that channel kids into HYPSCmbMChiPDDkBCo. So
they set up the so called SHP Scholar curriculum from within.
Basically it's mandatory 2 year AP selection. Kids in this program are made
exemplary for the rest, as smart and more industrial dudes. They certainly
are expected to excel further in academic and probably receive more
glorified rec letter for Ivy applications.
These kids do end up with better chance going to the Ivys. Or

照俺的标准算一下--

Millburn 327名毕业生进Elite College的41人，12%；俺屯里190名毕业生进Elite的19
人，10%。
虽说俺那儿进大藤的孩儿数目不及Millburn多，好歹Yale,Stanford,MIT,Princeton也
都有。学区虽说差点儿，可俺屯儿的房子大，基本都三千尺往上。再有，学校小，孩子
压力也不大。

admission。中国人也不少。
最后公布的数据是孩子最终选择的学校。不是被accepted. 我知道有人放弃藤校，选择
给全奖的非藤校。

millburn 周围还有这么一个宝地啊。
从人数上， 非 livingston, basking ridge, summit,berkeley heights,westfield.
new providence, chatham, moutain lakes, madison 这几个倒是人数上比较符合，
不过3000+尺房价很可观啊，虽然比 short hills 还是便宜一点。

看和谁比，比 west/south orange 是低。
但和周围5,6个比较类似的屯比，
new providence 的地税/房价比排不了第一，也能排前三。
这个地方地税是阻碍房价上升的一个主要因素之一，
要没这个，论学区，交通，new providence 房价应该会更高一点。

朋友和我说，孩子的同学们开着豪车满处跑倒也罢了，麻烦的是大麻可卡因什么的也比
较多。
因为，都是有钱人么。
所以，在这样地区，孩子的自制力也是要比较强的。
我目前孩子还很小，也纠结是要millburn，还是livingston就算了
